Your Vedic Astrological Summary

A one-page reference containing an individual’s birth data, resulting birth chart, life-long planetary periods, planetary assessments, and more. Featuring:

• The individual’s name, birth date and time (with corresponding time zone and relationship to Greenwich time), and birth location (with geographical coordinates);
• The birth chart, main periods/subperiods, navamsa chart, and planetary assessments presented in distinct sections;
• Planets color-coded in the birth chart and main periods/subperiods to match their assessments (strong, weak, combust, malefic);
• Planetary moolatrikona sign numbers appearing in the sixth, eighth, and/or twelfth houses color-coded red to reinforce the connection to their corresponding planets;
• Planetary positions (degrees) within 5 degrees of the ascendant degree emphasized with an asterisk;
• Planets placed in degree-ascending order within a sign;
• An explanatory section that includes a few brief clarifications and other sources of information; and

Astrology Reading Transcription

A transcript has several benefits: It is easier to follow what an astrologer is describing, easier to locate information at any point in the reading, and easier to evaluate the sum and substance of a reading (in effect, the astrologer), and it acts as a back-up to an audio file or tape. Transcription, astrological or otherwise, is extremely labor intensive. An audio file will take (me) three times its length to transcribe and check for accuracy.

Most astrology readings today probably are provided in the form of an audio file. Submit audio files using to an online dropbox at youSENDit.com; a link will be emailed to you after your order is received. Or send a CD to address just below.

Producing a text-file transcript costs 50 cents per minute of audio. There is a $10 minimum charge, covering up to 20 minutes of audio. Longer audio files will require additional charge at 50¢ per minute (see guidelines for calculating cost on Order Services page). I would expect most quality astrology readings to be at least 20 minutes in length.

For cassette tape submissions: Before transcription can take place, any taped content must be converted into an audio file to minimize the possibility of damage to the submitted recording. Although this conversion costs only $10, you are encouraged to submit an audio file. If that is not possible, you are strongly encouraged to submit a COPY of any original recording. While care will be taken, by submitting a cassette tape you are agreeing to release me from all responsibility for loss of, and/or damage to, any audio data or tape. Mail any materials to: William C. Your Vedic Astrology Transcript

Prerequisite 1: Order “Your Vedic Astrological Summary.”

Prerequisite 2: Order “Astrology Reading Transcription” UNLESS you are submitting a text file of a reading (with paragraph indents).

The Astrological Summary is required because parts of it are used in the designed transcript format: The individual's birth chart and main periods/subperiods are reduced in size and included on each page of the finished transcript to easily reference what the astrologer is discussing. The transcribed text is presented on a tinted background. Of course, some sort of transcript text is also required. The result is much more elegant and useful than a text file. The lowest-cost alternative to “Your Vedic Astrological Summary” for those wanting just the computer-generated information about their charts. Contains all the data you need to begin to explore the circumstances of your life.

Consisting of two pages: Page 1 contains Jyotish Tools summary: Birth data, color-coded rashi chart (natal chart), navamsa chart, and color-coded dashas and planetary assessments—all the basic information found in “Your Vedic Astrological Summary” without the design and information refinements. Page 2 contains Parashara’s Light dashas (time periods), which are more accurate than those produced by Jyotish Tools, usually varying from one to six days at the start of a period/subperiod. It is the goal of this site to clarify the basics of Systems’ Approach to enhance the usefulness of my products. In the meantime, you can refer to www.yournetastrologer.com, which I will be linking to for the more challenging concepts.

Your Rising Sign Quick Reference

Included at no charge for anyone ordering any other service, this reference is an encapsulation of your rising sign's highlights plus Vedic remedial options for your planets. Aside from the Astrological Summary, I consider this to be the most valuable product I offer, as I know of no other one-page source for this information. At the same time, I cannot profit from it because the information is not original to me. Features:

• Lists main personality traits and qualities associated with your rising sign (Note: Traits and qualities listed are for strong first-house planetary associations; weak planets and/or afflictions may produce less-favorable versions of these qualities);
• Health prime determinants and yogakaraka planet, if any, are included;
• Malefics and benefics are color-coded in two locations for emphasis;
• Remedies for strengthening planets—(kavach [medallion], color therapy, and wearing specific gemstones [to four levels of effectiveness and therefore cost]—are clearly displayed;
• Remedies for propitiating planets—avoiding certain colors and gemstones, performing charitable actions, listening to Vedic chant—are clearly displayed;
• An explanatory section includes a few brief clarifications and other sources of information; and
• Emailed to you as a color PDF attachment, capable of being printed to an 8.5"x11" sheet—recommend 80-lb. matte paper (or see “Printing & Mailing” below)

This is probably as good a place as any to reinforce that there are other, less targeted, ways to improve your chart/life (some of which are beyond the scope of this site): meditation, diet, yoga/exercise, darshan, and/or company of the enlightened/wise come to mind. There are also additional Vedic remedies which space and practicality did not permit (see Notes on Services).

Printing and mailing available for those in the United States wishing to have a hard copy of any or all of their PDFs but for whom printing locally is not practical. The cost includes electronic printing by my local copy establishment, handling, packaging, and Priority Mail shipping.
